Our Conference Site -Our conference will be held this year at the beautiful Skamania Lodge, overlooking the scenic Columbia River Gorge. This location is central between Washington and Oregon to enable easy automobile access from both states. Air travelers from all over our region can fly into the Portland airport and drive only 45-minutes to the Lodge. Go to "Conference Shuttle Information" to access information regarding shuttle service between the airport and the Lodge. Our negotiated conference rates are $125 for a Forest View room and $175 for a River View Room plus taxes. In addition to the rates set forth above, there is a daily Resort fee of $14.00 per room, per night, which includes: unlimited free local calls; 24 hour access to the Technology Room; wireless high-speed internet; access to three scenic hiking trails, family putting green, health club, pool and outdoor hot tub; tennis and basketball court time; bike rentals; coffee in the main lobby; and USA Today. We believe in the partnership of federal and state/provincial agencies working with local government and public citizen groups to develop floodplain management plans and build on-the-groud projects that benefit people and the environment.
To present nominations for our 2010 elections, contact Dan Sokol. New Board of Directors, which consists of four Officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary) and five State/Provincial Representatives, will be elected at the September conference.
